Bert Boeren (b.1962) is a Dutch jazz trombonist and educator. Bert took up the trombone at the age of sixteen, and became a teacher himself in 1987 at several Conservatories in Holland. Since 2003 he is teaching the JazzTrombone at the Conservatory of Amsterdam. He travels frequently giving international Masterclasses. Boeren has toured worldwide, both as soloist and as a member of various bands. He has played in the Eurojazz Big Band, the Dutch Swing College Band and the Bob Brookmeyer Big Band.He’s currently playing with the Jazz Orchestra of the Concertgebouw with guest-performers as Chick Corea, Benny Golson, James Carter and many others.
